This is a work in progress. For each event the first section is the parallel accounts of the event from the gospels. This is followed by merged or harmony event that combines the descriptions of the event from the gospels together to create one description.
The events in the life of Jesus Christ in parallel. With the King James Version (KJV) and the Joseph Smith Translation (JST) next to each other and the accounts of the same or similar events from each of the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) following one another. Text in [square brackets] contain a modern translation hard to understand words or phrases. Notes at the end of the event contain helps, quotes from the Old Testament, and related passages from modern scripture (Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price).
Also the events of the life of Jesus Christ in harmony. This combines the information from the various gospels both KJV and JST along with text in [square brackets] to provide a modern translation of certain words and phrases. Many people have undertaken to create a harmony of the gospels. Some only combine whole verses, however this may leave out details from other accounts that can add meaning and understanding to the event. I have chosen to combine parts of verses from the KJV and JST to include all of the detail possible while leaving the text unmodified. In some situations one gospel writer has use the present tense while another uses past tense or passive so they cannot be combined word for word. In this situation the word changes are minor to make the passage readable. There will be a button that will show in detail which words came from which gospel and which (if any) have been modified to make the passage readable.
KJV Luke 1:1-4
[1] Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,JST Luke 1:1-4
1:1 As I am a messenger of Jesus Christ, and knowing that many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
1:2 Even as they delivered them unto us, who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word,
1:3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee, in order, most excellent Theophilus,
1:4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things wherein thou hast been instructed.
KJV John 1:18
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.JST John 1:1-19
1:1 In the beginning was the gospel preached through the Son. And the gospel was the word, and the word was with the Son, and the Son was with God, and the Son was of God.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made which was made.
1:4 In him was the gospel, and the gospel was the life, and the life was the light of men;
1:5 And the light shineth in the world, and the world perceiveth it not.
1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
1:7 The same came into the world for a witness, to bear witness of the light, to bear record of the gospel through the Son, unto all, that through him men might believe.
1:8 He was not that light but came to bear witness of that light,
1:9 Which was the true light, which lighteth every man who cometh into the world,
1:10 Even the Son of God--he who was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God; only to them who believe on his name.
1:13 He was born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
1:14 And the same word was made flesh and dwelt among us; and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
1:15 John bare witness of him and cried, saying, This is he of whom I spake. He who cometh after me is preferred before me, for he was before me.
1:16 For in the beginning was the Word, even the Son, who is made flesh and sent unto us by the will of the Father. And as many as believe on his name shall receive of his fullness. And of his fullness have all we received, even immortality and eternal life, through his grace.
1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but life and truth came through Jesus Christ.
1:18 For the law was after a carnal commandment, to the administration of death; but the gospel was after the power of an endless life through Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father.
1:19 And no man hath seen God at any time, except he hath borne record of the Son; for except it is through him, no man can be saved.

[1] The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.JST Matt 1:1-5
1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the son of Abraham.
1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren; and Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram; and Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naason; and Naason begat Salmon; and Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse; and Jesse begat David the king.
1:3 And David the king begat Solomon of her whom David had taken of Urias; and Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa; and Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias; and Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias; and Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias; and Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon.
1:4 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobable; and Zorobable begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor; and Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud; and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, as the prophets have written, who is called Christ.
1:5 So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon were fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon until Christ were fourteen generations.

3:30 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, having lived with his father, being, as was supposed of the world, the son of Joseph, who was from the loins of Heli,
3:31 Who was from the loins of Matthat, who was the son of Levi, who was a descendant of Melchi, and of Janna, and of Joseph,
3:32 And of Mattathias, and of Amos, and of Naum, and of Esli, and of Nagge,
3:33 And of Maath, and of Mattathias, and of Semei, and of Joseph, and of Juda,

3:35 Who was a descendant of Melchi, and of Addi, and of Cosam, and of Elmodam, and of Er,
3:36 And of Jose, and of Eliezer, and of Joram, and of Matthat, and of Levi,
3:37 And of Simeon, and of Juda, and of Joseph, and of Jonan, and of Eliakim,
3:38 And of Melea, and of Menan, and of Mattatha, and of Nathan, and of David,
3:39 And of Jesse, and of Obed, and of Booz, and of Salmon, and of Naasson,
3:40 And of Aminadab, and of Aram, and of Esrom, and of Phares, and of Juda,
3:41 And of Jacob, and of Isaac, and of Abraham, and of Thara, and of Nachor,
3:42 And of Saruch, and of Ragau, and of Phalec, and of Heber, and of Sala,
3:43 And of Cainan, and of Arphaxad, and of Shem, and of Noah, and of Lamech,
3:44 And of Mathusala, and of Enoch, and of Jared, and of Maleleel, and of Cainan,
3:45 And of Enos, and of Seth, and of Adam, who was formed of God, and the first man upon the earth.
Note: Some have suggested that one was the lineage of Joseph and the other the lineage of Mary. Others have suggested that one is Joseph's customary legal lineage while the other is Joseph's biological blood lineage. Levirate marriage (where the brother of a deceased man is obliged to marry his widowed sister-in-law), allows an individual (such as Joseph) to have two legal fathers.

[5] There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.JST Luke 1:5-23
1:5 There was in the days of Herod, king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia, and his wife, being of the daughters of Aaron, and her name Elizabeth,
1:6 Were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord, blameless;
1:7 And they had no child. Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well stricken in years.
1:8 And while he executed the priest's office before God, in the order of his priesthood,
1:9 According to the law (his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord),
1:10 The whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.
1:11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
1:12 And when Zacharias saw the angel, he was troubled; and fear fell upon him.
1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias, for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
1:14 Thou shalt have joy and gladness, and many shall rejoice at his birth;
1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
1:16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord, their God;
1:17 And he shall go before the Lord in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
1:18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well stricken in years.
1:19 And the angel, answering, said unto him, I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of God, and am sent to speak unto thee and to show thee these glad tidings.
1:20 And behold, thou shalt be dumb and not able to speak until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believedst not my words which shall be fulfilled in their season.
1:21 And the people waited for Zacharias and marveled that he tarried so long in the temple.
1:22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them; and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple; for he beckoned unto them and remained speechless.
1:23 And as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

1:28 And the angel came in unto her and said, Hail, thou virgin, who art highly favored of the Lord. The Lord is with thee, for thou art chosen and blessed among women.
1:29 And when she saw the angel, she was troubled at his saying and pondered in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found favor with God.
1:31 And behold, thou shalt conceive, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
1:32 He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David;
1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, Of the Holy Ghost and the power of the Highest. Therefore, also, that holy child that shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

3:7 Then Herod, when he had called the wise men privily, inquired of them diligently at what time the star appeared.
3:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found the child, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
3:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and lo, the star which they saw in the east went before them until it came and stood over where the young child was.
